So there's this mage guild, right? It's called Fairy Tail, and it has quite a reputation--all of its members are rambunctious troublemakers (this is oftentimes not intentional-chaos just has a way of following these guys around) up to and including the master of the guild himself. If you mess with one of them, you mess with all of them. They're fiercely loyal to each other, so much that the guild defines who they are (in part, at least).
Gray is an 18 year-old ice mage, and he's been with Fairy Tail for a while. He has a habit of taking his clothes off whenever he feels like it--he walks around mostly naked all the time, so people call him an exhibitionist. He has a friendship/rivalry thing going on with Natsu, another member of the guild and a fire user. Their arguments are...spirited (read: violent), but they'll get along when they're ordered to, and even when they're not.
Compared to Natsu, Gray is a bit more responsible, but he still does stupid stuff. And he says things to try and look cool (ahahahaaaaa). And he's scared of Ezra (another guild member--she beat the crap out of him for his nakedness the first time she met him). And he has a patented Angsty Past (it doesn't come out until the Garuna Island arc, and even then, it isn't overbearing).
In short, he's a laid-back spaz who likes to get naked? XD
